Elevate Your Wedding Photos

By following this checklist, you can help to ensure we get the best photos on your wedding day.

  • You’ve hired us to take the pictures, and we’re pretty good at what we do. Please ask your guests to not use electronics during your ceremony, including for photo and video. This will help keep them present, engaged and for cleaner, beautiful images that we will capture.

  • We love officiants, we literally wouldn’t have weddings without them. Most will already know to do this, but it doesn’t hurt to check and remind them: please ask them to step aside during your first kiss, so they are not in the background of this once-in-a-lifetime shot.

  • Obviously this is totally up to you and what feels natural and correct; our suggestion is to focus on love and affection, and hold your kiss for at least 3 seconds (yes, Mississippis). This gives us the chance to snap multiple photos, ensuring you end up with the best possible shot, and gives your guests plenty of time to hoot and holler and celebrate YOU!

  • We would have discussed this in your final consultation, but have a real good think about who you ABSOLUTELY want formal, staged photos with. Remember, photo fatigue is real, and you will have plenty of time for pictures with guests for the rest of your day.

For the people you know you definitely want these formal pictures with, please prepare a list with their names and relation to you, so we can check them off as we go, ensuring you get exactly what you want.

  • Please speak with your DJ to ensure they are not intending on bringing/using lasers on the dance floor. Lasers can burn camera sensors (including on cellphones) and as our cameras are what we need to do our job, this is not something we will be risking.

  • You’re paying a significant amount of money for us to be at your wedding and capture all the authentic moments- please encourage your guests to get our attention and to ask for photos of themselves (this goes for you too, but usually most of our attention is already focused on you).
