#6 3 Month Euro Trip Begins

I’m writing this from the villa we are staying at for two weeks outside of Benidorm, Spain. My partner and I are about a week into a 3 month trip through Europe. We have huge, heavy giant backpacks and will be catching something like 25 trains on this trip.

Before we left, we spent a couple of days with my partner’s family in Ayr, Ontario to celebrate an early thanksgiving and get some quality time.

We were sure to visit the farm and on this little excursion I took the time to play around with some film simulations to see which I would like to use for the trip; ideally I want to keep it as consistent as possible. I always use my Acros push processed sim for black and white photos and decided to go for Kodachrome for colour photos.

At the farm I found I really loved the warm tones it provides, especially in fall colours- I expect we will see a lot of these colours on the trip. I can for-see that it might be too warm toned for indoor evening photos but I’ll cross that bridge when the time comes.

I made friends with Benji which is the white horse, he kept following me around which was so cute.

On the trip I’m just bringing one camera body and two lenses, each with a diffusion filter.

Camera body: Fujifilm XT 4

Lenses: 35mm and 23mm.

Please enjoy some of my favourite photos from at the farm; check back here soon for more from our trip :)
